Volvo World Match Play Championship

After a short break Darren returns to the fairways of Spain and plays in the Volvo World Match Play Championship. The restricted field, 24 man event, takes place at the stunning Finca Cortesin Resort in Casares, Andalucia.

Darren does not play on Thursday but plays at 08.45 against Robert Rock on Friday morning and at 13.40 against Justin Rose on Friday afternoon.

The field of 24 players will be drawn into eight groups of three.

Group matches will be played on Thursday and Friday. The top two players in each group will progress to the knock-out stages consisting of the last 16 and quarter-finals, played on Saturday and semi-finals and final, played on Sunday.

All matches will be contested over 18 holes of traditional match play.

In the round-robin group stages of the tournament players will be grouped according to their Official World Golf Ranking as of the Monday...
