After finishing 2nd in the Barclays Scottish Open, Darren was delighted to make his 19th apperance in the Open Championship played over the Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland. Darren's second place finish at Loch Lomond gaining him the last available spot in the championship.
In the first two rounds Darren shot a pair of 70's and then 77 in round three. Things improved on Sunday and Darren fired a final round of 71 to leave him on level par for the tournament and in a tie for 44th.
ISM stablemate Louis Oosthuizen claimed the Open Championship title by seven shots and finished on sixteen under par.
Darren heads off to Ireland to play in the Lough Erne Challenge on 21st July, alongside Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and Padraig Harrington.
